Early Career & Provisional Psychologists
Professional Development Retreat

Tickets are now on sale for our first Professional Development Retreat in 2025. Designed specifically for early career and provisional psychologists, this two-day retreat offers a unique opportunity to enhance your skills, gain new insights, and connect with peers in a supportive and inspiring environment.

When:  May 24-25, 2025 (Option for Friday night extension)
Where: Mercure Hotel, Ballarat

Spaces are limited.

What to Expect:

  • Workshops on key psychological practices and areas relevant to those starting out in their professional journey. Workshops will run all day Saturday, and a half day on Sunday.
  • Interactive sessions focused on professional growth and self-care.
  • Networking opportunities with like-minded professionals.
  • Morning Tea and lunch provided on both days, and afternoon tea on the Saturday.
  • Self-care supports built in, including the opportunity to participate in yoga and somatic work, and 10 minute massages.
  • The opportunity to ask all those burning questions and face any anxiety you may hold about processes, stages of therapy, or the profession in general.

Are you navigating the emotional and psychological impacts of chronic illness or ‘invisible’ conditions like chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, or long COVID? You are not alone.

At Meliora Psychology we will be offering a 5-Week Art Therapy Support Group. In a safe and supportive space, you’ll have the opportunity to express your emotions, process your experiences creatively, and connect with others who understand your journey. Meliora Psychology practitioners are trauma informed and provide an LGBTQIA+ safe environment.

What to Expect:

  • Art can be used therapeutically to help explore and express your feelings.
  • Supportive small group environment of 6-7 to share and learn from others’ experiences.
  • A safe space to process grief, loss, and the emotional toll of chronic illness.
  • Facilitated by a registered psychologist with experience in grief and chronic illness support.

Times: Wednesdays 4pm-6pm

Location: 84 Hotham Street, Preston

Cost: Initial 5 weeks of support $550 in total
